§ 29-38. Restrictions on parking in municipal lots.

  • (a)

    No person shall park any vehicle in any town-owned or maintained parking lot in excess of 72 hours.

    (b)

    The town municipal parking lots are located at High Street, Water Street, St. James Street, Daniel Webster Highway (Aubuchon's), Plymouth Street, Prescott Park, Shep Brown's (gravel lot), Leavitt Beach and Waukewan Beach.

    (c)

    Exceptions to this section include Shep Brown's parking lot (paved portion), Cattle Landing parking lot and any exception under section 29-32(b).

    (d)

    Further restrictions include the prohibition of:

    (1)

    Parking recreation vehicles in Shep Brown's municipal parking lot (paved portion) and Cattle Landing municipal parking lot.

    (2)

    Parking of any trailers in Shep Brown's (paved portion) and Cattle Landing, High Street, Water Street, St. James Street and Plymouth Street is prohibited.

    (e)

    Any person found in violation of this section shall be subject to a fine of $15.00 and may have their vehicle towed by the town police department at the expense of the owner.

    (f)

    Special overtime exceptions may be granted only by written permission of the town manager or a designee of the office of the town manager upon good cause shown.
